I usually play a 4-team, 13-point teaser every week and mix in an occasional straight-up play...

Uh, not this time...

I have never seen so many low lines before, even for Week 1...

Not a single team getting a touchdown...

Bound to be a lot of Week 1 surprises, which means, bad week for a teaser...

I am very tempted to take the Houston Texans...Looks like trap-city...Colts have started how many seasons in a row with a nice winning streak now?...Colts have never lost to Houston...NEVER...yet are just -1 here...Jeff Saturday is questionable and as everyone knows who caps the NFL, a team missing their center is big...Houston has played Indy very tough at home the last 2 times at Houston...

I want to take the Texans so very badly, but I can't go against Peyton Manning, who will probably be trailing most of this game, but will find some way to pull this game out at the end...Any other QB and I'd be all over Houston here...

Eagles as a home dog is tempting against the super-hyped Packers...The Over looks very good, too, as EJ and I already talked about that one...

No bets for me...

I'll watch the early games on DirecTv and then I gotta run to a playoff game around halftime of the early games...

I'll wait for Week 2 or 3...

NBA 2010-11 is almost here...

I am extremely disappointed that GS did not bring back Don Nelson for the final year of his contract as I LOVED watching that team play at Home with all the energy in that building and the up-tempo style...Now we have Keith Smart who is talking about discipline and defense...Are you kidding me?...Let these guys run...So disappointing...I hope Nellie makes one more coaching stop so I can cash in on easy Overs because Nellie not coaching this GS team has put a bit of a damper on this season for me as a fan because I love watching GS home game with their offense, which will now be gone...

Anyway...Hopefully we can find some angles to look at for the upcoming season...

If you look in my teaser's thread for last year at bet2win, I pretty much bet $300 on a teaser the week after a loss in SEPT and late DEC and $400 after a loss in OCT, NOV and early DEC...I forgot to post the amount bet for Week 3 here, but it was $360 to win $300...

Week 4:

First straight play of the year although I should have played a few others:

New York Giants -3.5, $220 to win $200 -- This play fits my one tried-and-true formula for picking NFL games and that is taking a Good team off a bad loss (or in this case, 2 bad losses) vs. a team off an emotional win the week before...Chicago beats GB on National TV Monday night, Giants got slaughtered last week, so there is no way the Giants have any chance to beat the Bears, I don't care where the game is at and here we have the Giants as 3.5 Favorites, as they are not only supposed to win, but they are supposed to win by more than a FG, huh?...Vegas is telling you who to take here for those who care enough to pay attention and make money in the long run...This situation won't win every time, but it wins more than it loses, that is for sure...

Gotta Think Dog wherever possible with NFL teasers although I will play some FAVs...

The "key" is to get these numbers over key numbers whenever possible (NFL key numbers 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, etc)...

Now with that said, I have some sketchy lines this week...
